Bio
(Last updated: 2025)
I am a Master's student in Computer Science at the University of São Paulo (USP), where I am advised by
João Neto, PhD (Imperial College London).
My research focuses on large-scale data science applied to sectoral and economic analysis, particularly in the context of policy evaluation and learning.
I am also a Research Assistant at Imperial College London, supervised by
Gabriel Lobato, PhD Candidate.
Before joining ICL, I earned a BA in International Relations from the
Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM/SP), with international programs at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and Meiji University.
And a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP).
I also worked in Quantitative Analysis at the
China Construction Bank, the largest state-owned bank in Beijing.
In addition, I am the Founder of SMTech, a technology startup specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
Beyond my academic pursuits, my personal interests center on activities that cultivate strategic discipline and personal development. I am an avid player of Go, an activity I value for honing strategic foresight and facilitating cross-cultural engagement with Japanese friends. This appreciation for strategy extends to chess, a field in which I earned a scholastic championship. In the physical realm, I practice boxing, a discipline I find invaluable for instilling self-control and enhancing planning abilities applicable across professional and personal spheres. Lastly, sharing a common Brazilian passion, I am an ardent follower of European football, with a particular allegiance to FC Barcelona.
